GH Patel School of Nursing

The Nursing Staff is the backbone of any hospital. Which is why, our planners decided to train nurses at our own institution, instead of employing them from elsewhere. This not only helps us prepare them to meet our superior quality standards, but also mould them to have the required sensitivity and right attitude towards the rural folk that forms the majority of our patient populace. So far, we have been successful in achieving this aim, as over 90% of the nurses graduating from the nursing school have been employed by Shree Krishna Hospital. This forms the basis of the GH Patel School of Nursing (GHPSN).

Setting up our own school has the inherent advantage of receiving student nurses with a sort of rural social background. GHPSN was inaugurated on 1st August 1980 with generous donations from Shri Gordhanbhai Hathibhai Patel. The nursing hostel has been constructed just near the Nursing School along with a spacious dining hall. GHPSN has an independent small campus within the large campus of Shree Krishna Hospital.

GHPSN is affiliated to Sardar Patel University and is recognized by Gujarat Nursing Council for its 25 seats. After completion of the three-and-a-half year course, students get a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
